Virtual Doctoral School

Given the widespread presence of the academic disciplines represented by AIMSEA within PhD programs at almost all Italian universities offering Industrial Engineering degrees, and considering that at least one AIMSEA faculty member serves on doctoral boards, this initiative aims to promote coordination among different doctoral programs in order to provide PhD students with broader opportunities to attend courses relevant to the scientific fields of Fluid Machinery, Energy Systems and Power Generation. The coordination is based on an informal network of participating doctoral programs, thereby enabling the sharing of educational activities and teaching resources. Whenever possible, the initiative also leverages online learning and videoconferencing tools. Therefore, all institutions where AIMSEA faculty members serve on doctoral boards are invited to form a network for educational activities, courses, and seminars for PhD candidates, known as the “AIMSEA Virtual Doctoral School”. This network will allow doctoral students to attend relevant courses held at other member institutions, with attendance certified even via teleconference, while enabling doctoral students at each institution to benefit from educational opportunities provided across the network.
